Hello,
I am going to Chennai for my visa stamping and the consulate website says that I need to present the " complete I-129 petition submitted by your prospective employer including the Labor Condition Application " during the interview. Can any one tell me if the photocopy of those documents will do or do I really need to carry the originals (which I don't have)?
Thanks
Manoj
You will not have originals as they are with USCIS :D:D
Just carry copies; they rarely if ever ask for those any way.
Good Luck.

Hello,
My wife is currently on H4 status. (Just the I-94, her visa expired last year October). She started her MS in Fall 2009. She already competed 2 Semesters of MS on H4 visa. We applied for her Change of Status to F1 visa in March. According to the USCIS processing dates, she will get the COS approved approximately in June 1st week.
She will have to travel to India this summer. The question we have is,
is it advisable to wait till she gets her F1 COS Approved and then go to India for F1 Stamping ?
or abandon the F1 COS and go for F1 stamping directly in India ?
Please advice if there are any risks involved here.
It is the same either way. Once she goes out, she would need a visa stamp to get back in. And the consulate will do whatever they needs/wants to do for approving (or not approving) the visa petition regardless of whether or not she was in F1 status before leaving US.

Guys
Just curious to know whether anybody received the physical card with out a CPO email or status. Did anybody with just "Welcome" email and status receive cards yet?
Just checking whether NO CPO status/ email = no card.
I received the "Welcome" email, status and the physical letter on Tuesday but no card yet. Any body in the same boat? (I understand that it takes about 1-3 weeks but many have received cards with in a week)
The reason I am asking is my I9 expires month end and HR is on my back for the updated doc. They would rather see a card than a letter which has no expiration date :)

Hi kirupa, thanks for your quick reply.I am not referring to window phone application.
I am building a simple website by using frame in Blend 4.What i am trying to achieve here.....
applying Blend 4’s built-in TransitionEffects to FRAME by using VisualState to get smooth transitions like ripple, slide in while navigating pages like you did in http://www.kirupa.com/blend_silverlight/transition_effects.htm.
I just want to know how to apply this effects directly to FRAME? :)

1. Quit my current job and sit at home, and do nothing?
If you are the principle applicant, you need to work at the same profession full-time.
2. Start a company?
I want to know too.
3. Go to Full time MBA school?
No, if you are the principle applicant
4. Go to part time MBA school with my current job?
yes, I guess
5. Switch jobs as many times as I want using AC21?
yes, as long as it's the same profession.

It is better to spread the awareness about swine flu as it is projected to strike back in the end of September and peak by the end of October. Every one thinks that it is not of their concern but some one is getting affected till it contracts them. So before that happens let us spread the awareness about this deadly flu virus. In India it is still worse. People are ignorant about this and are being succumbed to death (www.Indianswineflu.com (http://www.Indianswineflu.com)) Spread the word to your near and dear about this flu and also let them take all the necessary precautions.
There is a comprehensive article in Times of India (http://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/articleshow/4875349.cms) and American CDC (http://www.cdc.gov/h1n1flu/?s_cid=h1n1Flu_outbreak_016)website has a ton of good information about the various aspects of the Flu and precautions to be taken.

i think at re-entry for the 485 pending /AP applicants, there is a POSSIBILITY that the officers could question you bout ur existing employment. For such cases people r adviced to carry the current employers letter along with copy of 485 receipt for safety sake.
with that in mind, if all possible, using ur EAD(after that 180 day rule) , get a job may be collect a paystub or 2 , get a letter and then use the AP.
in many other forums, pple have shared info such as "officer asked me if im still employed with the same employer who filed for GC." etc etc . its better to carry something atleast to prove that when asked.

Sec. 45. 2 Priority date of applicants.
As it sound to me It means PD of primary applicant will be the PD of spouse and child.
I did not follow.
Anyway this is the situation. I'm in EB3 with a PD Dec 2002. DH is in EB2 with a PD in 2006. Can he file I-485 for us using my PD according to the above law?

Jon Stewart, who knows a thing or two about irony, will create a two-hour special on a perfect targetthe U.S. naturalization processfor History Channel, to air in the fourth quarter.
http://www.broadcastingcable.com/article/231905-Jon_Stewart_to_Make_History_Special.php
The Naturalized, to be produced by Busboy, Stewart's company, follows eight individuals through the bureaucratic morass of the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services. The special will also include interviews with undocumented and deported illegal immigrants.
If we can contact busboy productions with our stories to make sure that atleast of one of the eight individuals is someone who is stuck in this EB backlog.
Here is Jon's contact info at the daily show thedailyshow@comedycentral.com
It would be great if someone can find the contact info for busboy productions too.
Also, Please send email to the Daily Show and/or Colbert report to interview someone like Vivek Wadhwa to explain to their viewers the how this behavior hurts America.
