It seems Kobe used to word "******" at a ref. Honestly it seems the "gay community" takes things way out of proportion and needs to relax a little, even if he is a celebrity the gay community needs to chill.
We (the general public) are tightening up the "gay slur" leash a little to tight. I know I use the word ****** or thats gay when I do things, even if I look at a pink motorcycle I'm like that's gay. It has nothing to do with gays in general, so why flip out over it?

We flip out because we're tired of words that are used to describe us also used to describe anything that's seen as bad, weak or negative. If you used that six letter word around me, I'd probably clock you. You wouldn't the N word around a black person, so why do you think it's OK to use the F word?

So violence is an acceptable solution? So I can beat Gay persons up (Don't twist this analogy, I've stated numerous times on this board, I'm all for Gay rights), I just can't, in their opinion, verbally insult them? :rolleyes:

iPhone - i think we maybe put to much pressure for them to announce it today... i mean it still needs to be accepted by FCA and its not coming out in england until Q4! I was so excited to buy one today! and its not as if i can even buy one form the usa and unlock it because of its integration with the cingular network...god im annoyed and upset
edit: also i would say the price for hem is fair as ive never seen such truely amazing technology, i.e multitouchscreens for that price range. and storage level is great for a phone..replaces me nano and moto pebl as soon as it gets to the uk...IN LIKE A BILLION YEARS. i waited long enough for it to be announced and i saved up my money, and u just tease me apple!!!!!! GRRRRRRRRRR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am not defending Full of Win. I sincerely am not.
But some people should keep in mind that it's entirely possible to love a company's products while not liking part or all of the actual company or how they operate on given occasions.
It's very easy for some here to just throw out the term troll and hater just because someone isn't accepting of Apple's PR, etc.

Pretty sad that someone would say such a thing in such a case :(. I mean she's 11 and there were 18 of them.
Its a long way from even a "typical" "she deserved it" case where the woman in question is usually drunk and at a club/bar. Not that it is appropriate in that case either, but this is a really shocking case.

I tend to agree. Cut programs until our expenses match our current 'revenues.' When the two are equal or are in the black, let's immediately pass an balanged-budget amendment so this problem never happens again. And, raise taxes so our spending is less than our revenues and we can start paying off the debts Reagan, Bush and Bush left our grandchildren. It's time to start acting like grown-ups.
For the record, they are paying their fair share. The top 50% of wage earners pay over 95% of the income tax. Your disgusting attack on all conservatives wanting to '****' over all citizens is just that... disgusting. They don't pay 95% of all taxes. In addition, if you look at their income, they have tons of it that is not taxed (So, shouldn't they be paying even more? I don't have much income that isn't taxed, why should they?) They also have and control the vast, vast majority of the wealth in this country that is not taxed until sold for a gain (whether you realize it or not, there's some big concepts in that one sentence). Finally, all the other taxes are regressive or at best flat, which means the poor and middle classes are paying more than their fair share of those taxes. You don't seem to care about that, you're more interested in protecting 100-200 of the wealthiest of the wealthy.

It's called the 'semantic web'. You may want to look it up. Decent web designers have been designing this way for some time where they can and the W3 want everyone to go this way.
I think this makes us web programmers rather than designers.
It will only break your site design if your site design is badly designed in the first place.
Then please go visit www.csszengarden.com and see how user-applied changes break their designs to the point where elements are covered by others. Those designs usually apply to the W3 standards, and I bet they are far better at this things than either you or me.

It's been worthwhile for me, as I have never had ANY outages on my web pages... There's only one feature that I'd really like Apple to add, and that's the ability to use your own domain name, instead of having 'homepage.mac.com/username,' or, worse, 'web.mac.com/username/iWeb/etc. etc. etc.' --> Nobody can ever memorize these URL's. And I have to pay $10 a year to get a Yahoo Domain referrer.

This is news? I heard about these things (and saw screenshots, and videos) back in August when people got ahold of the Leopard WWDC preview and broke their NDAs (or pirated it).Correct. This was leaked the day after Leopard Preview was released. Sheesh.

There's no way to know really. The next update will probably be late this year or early next year. Might be a redesign, or not.
